Drove an NA in ... 1996? It was a demonstrator with a couple grand on the clock, the only one they had, and I wound up buying a ‘97 CRX Si. And I’m not sorry I did, but a Miata in my life would certainly not have been a bad thing.

I don’t either. I said it in the other post too.

I saw that like a minute after I posted this lol.

I don’t either. Roadsters are just “meh” for me. As a second car, MAYBE, but as a main daily driver I just do not understand the Miata.

A really clean CRX is certainly something I would like to own....I wouldn’t mind trying a Miata at some point, I was mainly aiming to rustle more jimmies than not caring about the new GT

It’s all good. Somebody had to say it!

Yeah I’ve spent too much time dailying versatile things with lots of space and general utility. When I had my 6 Series I kept thinking that if I had an E28 again instead I’d have a similar driving experience, but also the practically of 4 doors.

The CRX was cherry when I sold it (about 13 grand on the clock) but me and the GF at the time only needed one car - we were walking distance from DC subway. I wonder what it looks like now? And, at the time, the extra 3 grand for a Miata made a difference. We had to finance nearly the whole thing, and I recall that the demonstrator (‘used’ technically) was not something our bank would consider without a huge chunk of cash on our part.

I don’t either, however one fell into my lap recently and I’ll be an owner next week. We’ll see if it changes my apathy.

That’s cool. Miata owners are having too much fun to care what you think.

I don’t doubt it

Me neither.

I’m buying a Miata tomorrow man! Yeah!

Nice! Which one?

I have daily-driven a 1999 NB for a little over 4 years now, and it has been all that I needed, even though it is not the most-fun car I have ever owned. (It is, however, one of the most-surprisingly reliable fun cars, which is one of the biggest reasons that I bought it in the first place.)
However, I recently bought a non-leaking 2001 NB Special Edition to take to a track day in October, because bigger Sports brakes. I plan to DD that one until it dies.
When that one goes away, I predict that I will get a small hatchback or mini-station wagon, because more utility, and no soft top to replace every so often. . .

Nice! I like the look of NBs with a hardtop a lot. What kind of hatch or wagon are you thinking? A wagon is my favourite daily I've had so far
